Tallahassee's Camelia Circle Announces a Quilt Block Contest

 Tallahassee Camellia Society Quilt Block Contest - share info. The Tallahassee Camellia Society (TCS) is sponsoring a Camellia (Flower) Quilt Block Contest through local quilting guilds in NW Florida. Purpose to encourage the culture of Camellias and educate and inform members and the public of the history, growing, propagation, exhibiting and judging of Camellias. Quilt Block submissions are due by January 3, 2019 to TCS Quilt Block Contest, 520 Oakland Ave. E., Tallahassee FL 32301. Include completed block, name, address and phone# of quilter(s). Submissions will not be returned. Block submissions will be used to complete a quilt to be displayed at the 2020 TCS Camellia Show in Tallahassee. An opportunity drawing will be held in 2020 for the finished quilt. Questions call 850/224-5857. Blocks will be judged by a panel of 3 judges and a popular vote at the 2019 TCS Annual Camellia Show Jan. 12-13.
